Free Programming Workshop with Evgeny Gusyatinskiy
To support participating cinemas in curating strong and locally relevant programmes for the European Arthouse Cinema Day, we are hosting a dedicated online workshop on 31 October at 14:00 CET.
The session will be led by Evgeny Gusyatinskiy – film curator, critic, and member of the International Film Festival Rotterdam selection committee, as well as a trainer for Arthouse Cinema Training 2025. Drawing on his extensive experience in programming and curating, Evgeny will share concrete ideas and strategies for selecting films and designing events tailored to your venue’s context, based on the EACD recommendation list.

How to participate
The CICAE understands the European Arthouse Cinema Day as a capacity-building initiative and, to this end, offers participating cinemas the opportunity to take part in a series of workshops — the third of which will focus on programming, led by film curator and festival selector Evgeny Gusyatinskiy.
